We are making the greatest effort to be a leader in aviation and aerospace technology since we know that it promises a bright future for the coming generation.
It is our great pride that the 54-year old KAU has played an important role in Korea's highly developed aerospace industry and has likewise been instrumental in helping Korea become the 6th ranked nation in world air transportation. The primary goal of KAU was to invest our energy into the hi-tech aeronautic engineering fields such as airplane design and manufacturing and aeronautical structures as well as the aerospace-related fields such as flight operation, air control, airplane maintenance, airport management, air transportation and logistics, aviation law, management and English. As a result, we have successfully become a unique 4-year aerospace-specializing university in the world which is leading the aerospace industry into the future.
As of the year 2006, we accomplished a total 79% employment rate of graduates, and 42% among them took conglomerate employment, which ranks 4th, just below the top three universities, Pohang Technical Institute, Sogang University, and Korea University. We provide various types of scholarships and fellowships for students and maintain many international programs with 41 universities in 18 countries. KAU is a small but strong university producing many leading members in the aviation field.
As we have successfully performed our dedicated contribution to the advancement of KAU during the last half century, every member of KAU will further strive to make this university a top world-class educational institute of aeronautic technology. We will construct an ideal educational environment by making various new equipment and facilities available on campus. We will go out there over the horizon to become the most powerful and influential institute in the world. We welcome again those who wish to meet strong challenges and better chances for the future!
